Christina Sabine Rebel-Otterbach passed away on April 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of strength, generosity, and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Born in Bad Wimpfen, Germany, on December 14, 1962, Christina grew up in Germany. She and her family made their home on the West Coast of the United States, before relocating to the Greater Atlanta Area in 2013.
A true citizen of the world, Christina had a passion for travel and exploration. Whether she was running, hiking, biking, or immersing herself in a new subject or destination, she approached life with curiosity and enthusiasm. She enjoyed yoga, gardening, reading, journaling, and spending time with her family and friends—especially while cooking and sharing meals together.
Christina was a dynamic leader, the owner and operator of CRO Management Consulting. Hardworking and driven, she embodied the spirit of a "girl boss," empowering and mentoring countless women in business and in life. She served as a mentor to countless individuals. Her own daughter was among the many inspired by her wisdom, encouragement, and support.
Christina lived with the intention of giving back, setting a personal goal of donating 10% of her income to charitable organizations that supported education, culture, and spiritual development. She was deeply involved in the German-American community in Atlanta & the Southeast, serving as Chairwoman of the Goethe Zentrum Atlanta.
Above all, Christina gave more than she ever asked in return. She was selfless, compassionate, and deeply committed to making the world a better place—one act of kindness, one thoughtful word, one meaningful connection at a time.
Christina is survived by her loving husband of 25 and a half years, Michael Otterbach; her cherished daughter, Ellen Otterbach; her beloved sister, Eveline Rebel; and her loyal cat, Mr. Wesley.
A service celebrating Christina’s life will take place on Monday, May 12th at 5:30pm at Shiloh Gardens (5235 Union Hill Rd, Cumming, GA 30040).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Goethe Zentrum Atlanta https://friendsofgoetheincgoethezentrumatlanta-bloom.kindful.com/?campaign=1358464 or Furkids https://furkids.org/ both causes close to Christina’s heart.
She lived with purpose. She gave with love. She will be missed beyond words.
