It is with deepest sadness that we announce Mr. Clifford Leo Mohrhaus, age 73, passed away in hospice in Marietta, Georgia on June 19, 2020.

Cliff was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 28, 1946 to Clemens and Rita Mohrhaus. He met the love of his life, Marilyn Jean Mohrhaus (nee Lauch), also of Cincinnati, on a blind date and they wed on July 26, 1969. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and began a career in sales and management at the Dow Chemical Company. While being a successful businessman, he became “#1 Dad” and super fan for his three children, Craig, Christine and Cindy. He was his family’s rock and hero. He treasured his many family dogs throughout his life. And what made him most proud was his role as Papa to his beloved grandson, Alan, born two and a half years ago.

As a professional in the chemical sales field for over forty years, Cliff is remembered fondly by his many colleagues for his intelligence and sense of humor. He is described as a mentor and true gentleman. Cliff loved his family and lived life to the fullest. He battled Alzheimer’s disease for several years but continued to make his family, friends and any person he encountered laugh with his quick wit and personality. He was always the life of the party, loved music and was dancing even in his final days. His presence and lively spirit will be missed by all who knew him.

Cliff is preceded in death by his parents, his parents-in-law, and his devoted wife, Marilyn. He is survived by his children (Craig Mohrhaus, Christine Hale, and Cindy Breese), those he thought of as his children (Andrea Mohrhaus, Sean Breese, Wes Hale, and Robert Jacobs), his grandson (Alan Mohrhaus), as well as a host of extended family members and friends who loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Roswell Funeral Home Chapel, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076. The service will be live-streamed on Facebook via http://facebook.com/hale0013. Burial will immediately follow at Green Lawn Cemetery (adjacent to the funeral home). After the interment, guests are invited to join the family back at the funeral home for a reception. In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (Alz.org) or Little Alan’s future education (gf.me/u/yanbpq).

I am so sorry to hear of Cliff's passing. I am one of the many who had the good fortune and pleasure of working with Cliff at Dow. Cliff was incredibly intelligent, quick witted, and always had time to find good humor and personal value in peoples' lives.
His influence lives on......many great memories.
