Dady Jal Patel

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Dady Patel, age 82, at his home in Alpharetta, GA, on February 13, 2026. He was born in Bombay, India, on December 5, 1943 to Jal Patel and Bacha Patel, both now deceased.

Dady came to the U.S.A. at the age of 20 to attend the University of Rolla, MO for his Masters Degree. After that he enrolled at GA Tech to pursue his PhD in Mechanical Engineering which he completed in 1971. His career in engineering involved automating many manufacturing plants in the Eastern part of the U.S.

Dady loved parties, music, and games, almost always winning any game he played. During the outdoor concert season he enjoyed music concerts with his wife, Barb, and family and friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his grand children and children.

Dady is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara Patel, his son Noshir Patel, daughter, Cathleen Morgan, grandchildren Cameron Morgan, Brin Morgan, Eric Morgan, River Morgan, Brewer Patel, Kate Patel, and Ellis Patel. Also survived by daughter-in-law Rebecca Patel, son-in-law John Morgan and Barbara' siblings, Jo Ann(Larry), Sam, and Kim(David).

His memorial service is February 28th, 2:00 pm, at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Alpharetta, GA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Dady will be forever in our hearts and missed forever.
