Daisy Esparza Deems
July 28, 1959 – May 20, 2020
Daisy Deems was 60 years young when she passed on May 20, 2020. She and her husband David were residents of Alpharetta for the last 25 years. They first met in Miami in 1984 and celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary the day before her passing.
Daisy was born in Santa Clara, Cuba to Felipe Esparza and Teresa Feito. She moved to the United States before her first birthday, lived, grew up, attended school and worked her first job in New Jersey. She worked for the Bell System 10 years before becoming a full time Mother for another 10 years. Then she found her passion, working with special needs children. During the 19 years she worked for Fulton Schools she found her calling. She was also an avid birdwatcher, photographer, gardener, artist, and loved walking on the beach.
Daisy is survived by her husband David Lynn Deems, daughter Tara Nicole Deems, son Cory Nathan Deems, daughter-in-law Chelsea Morgan Iles Deems, mother Teresa Feito Esparza, sisters Theresa Chinea and Nery Esparza, nieces Crystal Chinea, Alex and Sophia Esparza and nephew Christopher Chinea.
A private service will be held Friday May 29, 2020 at the Roswell Funeral Home.
Everyone knows Daisy’s love of all kinds of plants and flowers, and all will be nurtured and loved in her memory. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is of tremendous help to families in our situation and also worthy of your consideration for a donation in her name. Please, even if you wish to remain anonymous, indicate it is in memory of Daisy.

My heart is broken, over losing Daisy. She was my friend, & compadre. There will never be another person like Daisy. She was unique & special. We met on the K9 Search & Rescue Team, where she gave tirelessly of her time, & training her Bloodhound, Ellie. Daisy & I remained close, even though we both left the team. She was my friend, & I will miss her forever. Fly high, Daisy - no more pain.

David, Tara, and Cory..our deepest condolences for your loss. She was a wonderful lady and one of Kerstin’s favorites! We still sing the Kit Kat song “Gimme a break”. Her heart was huge and we will always be grateful for her teaching Kerstin and helping her grow into who she is today. She always had a smile!! Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
