Dean Daniell Slocum, aged 21, passed away on May 29, 2026. He was born on November 23, 2004 to Robert and Susanne Slocum.
Dean was a beloved son and was known for being quick to smile and attuned to the needs of others. He was a loyal friend and was forever playful with a sharp wit that others enjoyed. He was a lover of animals and had a special affinity for cats. He was a sweet, somewhat precocious child, and the first word that he said was a whispered “purple.” It ended up being his favorite color.
Dean graduated from Johns Creek High school and attended one year at UNC Charlotte where he met the love of his life, Chloe.
He worked summers at Twisted Spokes bicycle shop during his middle school years and during his high school years worked at Canada Tire.
He stayed in Charlotte for a while working at Hendrick Motorsports and then returned to Johns Creek to work at NorthPoint Home Services with his father. He recently started his dream job at BMW Motorcycles of Roswell.
Dean was active in scouting with his dad, who was serving as an adult leader. He had a passion for thrifting, photography, and anything that had wheels.
He rode in cross country mountain bike races with his team, participated in downhill mountain bike racing, and dirt biking. He loved car shows, driving his car and riding motorcycles, and well as being able to work on them.
Dean was a true and wonderful light that shined brightly in every room he entered. He brought joy to all, and will be deeply missed by his friends, his parents, his aunt, Jane Tunno, his grandmother, Mary Lane Tunno, his godparents, Bill and Carolyn Harness, and his girlfriend, Chloe.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 20th at 1:00pm at Mount Pisgah Church (2850 Old Alabama Road Johns Creek, GA 30022).
