Dennis Miller (age 62) was born in Pittsburgh, PA on Jan. 27, 1956. His loving parents Elizabeth (Kiefer) and Harry Miller took him into a loving home at the age of 18 months, where he was raised with his sister Suzanne Miller. Dennis was always the smartest kid on the block. He quickly was passed to the 2nd grade because he was bored with 1st grade. Rose and Dennis had no children, but 21 god children who will miss him immensely, along with his family and best buddies. He was a member of the Mensa Society and known for his quick humor. He graduated from Southwest Miami Senior High school with honors and a full Music scholarship . He played the tenor saxophone and flute. He was able to graduate from Florida International University and the University of Miami with a double major in Geology and Physics. He went on to be a pilot in the United States Airforce. Afterwards, he began his career at Bellsouth in Miami and transferred to Atlanta, Georgia in 1995 where he was a technical trainer and instructor for 24 years. After retiring from Bell South/ATT he went on to form his own company, DE Miller and Associates. He also worked for several other consulting companies including Axiom, providing extensive Sales and Technical training to the communications and technical industries. For the past 7 years he has been a partner at Hill and Associates located in Vermont. His expertise and knowledge was expansive in the IT, Financial and Cyber Security industry.
He loved his work, but loved his life even more. Married to Rose for 35 years, they knew each other since they were 11 years old and started dating soon after high school. Dennis and Rose were soul mates and she will greatly miss him as he made her laugh every day. He was an enthusiastic car aficionado to say the least. He owned over 39 vehicles and motorcycles. He was a member of the Atlanta Porsche club and recently received an award for having the best car in his class (Porchse 911 GTS). He was also an avid boater and loved to salt water and fly fish at his cabin on the Toccoa River in the North Georgia Mountains. He had a great love and respect for nature. He never met a stranger that would not eventually become a friend. Dennis would want to be remembered for his humor, great voice and never ending smile.
He was loved and adored by his extended family in Pennsylvania , California Nebraska and Florida.
There will be a Visitation one hour prior, followed by a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. A Reception will immediately follow, Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076
