Dear Palazzo family,
Wishing all of you the peace that eventually comes when someone so loved leaves us. I have such found memories of your dad. He was a great role model for me as I spent time in your home. Today he rests in paradise with the Lord!

To Mrs. Palazzo... you picked a great man to share your life with. We'll pray for you to continue to feel Mr. Palazzo's love for you!

Dear Palazzo Family,

We are so sorry for your loss. We have such fond memories of spending some wonderful Easter’s with you all in Lakewood Ranch. Dom and Marie were so gracious at making us feel like family in their home. It is not a surprise that Dom and Marie have raised their children to continue on it the same way-to be warm and inviting to all that know you. Just so blessed to know and love you, our prayers are with you.

I have so many great memories of Dom. He worked with my former husband Pat Sheridan and we often visited Dom & Marie and family. He was a really wonderful person who always welcomed our visit with open arms. I know he is with Our Lord. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole Palazzo family, and especially with Marie at this time.
Love,
Jane (Sheridan) Runey

Dear Palazzo family:
It is with deep sorrow that Sandy and myself send this message, your mom and dad were such inspirations to us as the perfect couple and the true picture of family love.
We keep you in our prayers and know that your dad is truly sitting in heaven, he told me many years ago that St Peter was his favorite saint and Apostle. I know that he opened those gates WIDE when he seen Dominic knocking
RIP Dominic, memories forever

My favorite memory of Dom, of course, was that every time the Sheridans would visit the Palazzos when we were kids, Dom ALWAYS picked me up his very high frame and gave me a big hug and kiss. I thought he was a giant, he was so tall. And he continued to do that every time I saw him, no matter how old I got. He was a terrific person and I know what his children are feeling, for we all felt it, too, when our dad passed in 2011. Bless him and every one of the Palazzos at this loss.

My parents had known the Palazzos since before I was born. They used to live down the street from us on Roslyn Road. My parents always kept them in high regard.

I really did not know them until I started playing football at Grosse Pointe North. That’s how I met his youngest son, Jon.

I remember Jon’s dad as being soft spoken but a tremendous sports fan. I also remember him selling raffle tickets at the Saint Joan of Arc Spring Festival. My folks always bought tickets.

It was only a few years ago that I realized Jon’s dad was a brother. A brother in the Marine Corps. We call it “The Band of Brothers.” Semper Fi Dominic, Godspeed and remember, “If the Army and the Navy, ever looked on heavens scenes, they would find the streets are guarded by United States Marines.”

Always such a beautiful and God sent soul & God sent to this family to help those who needed to find Christ. I'm honored to have known this man and equally honored to have his family as like my second family and his wife, Marie to have been my Chatechism teacher and my friend going through all of this. This family has been like my second family my whole life. Prayers and loving prayers to all of the Palazzo family during this time of need. 🙏🙏🙏
