Dorothy Ann Jansen

Dorothy met the love of her life, Richard, and they were united in holy matrimony April 23rd, 1955. This union of 62 years was blessed with three children, John, Susan, and Steve. Dorothy and Richard shared the love of traveling with friends. They enjoyed cruising and their favorite destination was Aruba. Dorothy laid her beloved husband to rest on December 14th, 2017.

Dorothy was an RN that worked as an emergency room nurse, nurse in a doctor’s office and was the Holmes Jr High school nurse for 25 years. She had a knack for connecting with people and making friends wherever she lived.

Dorothy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her life, influence and legacy will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her.

Along with her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard John Jansen and grandson Timothy Jansen. She is survived by her three loving children; John Jansen, Susan Jansen, and Steven (Suzanne) Jansen; grandchildren, Michael, Katherine, and Matthew; and an unforgettable amount of friends.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private service to honor Mrs. Dorothy Ann Jansen will be held at Roswell Funeral Home and Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions to be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
