Ed grew up on a farm and attributed his strong work ethic and insistence on promptness to doing chores every morning before school. He attended Tuscarawas Valley High School and graduated from Ohio University with a degree in Business Administration. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran who served his country in Vietnam. His Ohio roots and his military service were conversation starters for him wherever he went.
He enjoyed a long career in sales management, spending many of his earlier years with IBM, later ones in the temporary recruiting and technical services industries. The growing family moved from Youngstown, OH to Dallas, TX, to Charleston, WV (where he met Anne), to Chappaqua, NY, to Danville, CA, to Ridgefield, CT and finally to Roswell, GA where he and Anne have spent the last 28 years.
He spent the end of his career starting and managing a Veteran owned IT Services business that he loved, ProServiceIT.
He had a passion for tennis throughout his life and enjoyed playing, attending tournaments and convincing his kids to go “hit a few balls.” He watched tennis as much as he could when he was no longer able to play and was often found at the Horseshoe Bend courts socializing with friends. He was an avid Ohio sports fan who could be heard on the weekends screaming at the TV “Go Buckeyes!”
