Elizabeth “Betty” Anne Brightbill of Roswell, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026 at the age of 83.
Betty was born in the Panama Canal Zone in 1943 to Florence and Floyd Elliott of Crown Point, Indiana. While attending Indiana University, she met her husband, Earl Brightbill, and they were married in 1967. Together, they shared 59 years of marriage filled with adventure.
An avid traveler, Betty visited all seven continents with Earl by her side. While she loved exploring new and exciting destinations, her favorite places to return to again and again were Paris, France, and Naples, Florida. In both places, she especially enjoyed “good” wine, great food, and excellent people-watching.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Robert and David Elliott.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Brightbill; her daughter, Suzanne Balsley; and her son-in-law, Todd Balsley.
Visitation will be held at Roswell Funeral Home in Roswell on October 10, 2026 at 1:00 PM followed by a celebration of her life.
