Ethel Dickerson Allen, 77, passed away February 19, 2011. She was a native Atlantan and a resident of Lake Burton. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Pat, of 53 years. Lake Burton became their passion and Ethel was known for creating love, laughter, and fun for countless gatherings of family and friends. For more than 40 years, Ethel was reknowned as a pioneer in real estate on the lake gathering clients in her Blue Chris Craft and sharing her enthusiasm for the beauty and lifestyle there. Ethel is survived by her children, Kathy Smith, Connie West, and Clay Allen, 8 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, her sister Maude Barnett, and many nieces, nephews, sons and daughters in laws. Funeral services will be at 2 pm, February 22 at Roswell United Methodist Church with visitation prior to the service in the chapel parlor beginning at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice Atlanta.Arrangements are under the direction of Roswell Funeral Home, Roswell, GA.
