Felipe Zúñiga Trejo

Felipe fue un amado esposo, padre, abuelo, bisabuelo, hermano y amigo. Era conocido por su bondad, fortaleza, compasión, sentido del humor, dedicación al trabajo y profundo compromiso con su familia y su hogar.

A lo largo de su vida, Felipe alcanzó muchas de sus metas al dejar México para brindar un mejor futuro a su familia de ocho integrantes. Más adelante, se jubiló para dedicar más tiempo a ellos y a sí mismo. Disfrutó la vida a través de los placeres más sencillos: escuchar música tradicional mexicana, jugar basquetbol, ver lucha libre y fútbol, regresar a México para disfrutar de su naturaleza y compartir momentos con familiares y amigos en agradables conversaciones. Tocó la vida de innumerables personas gracias a su determinación de ser siempre un buen hombre y a su capacidad de llegar al corazón de los demás de una manera profunda y positiva.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Leonila; sus hijos, Susana, Otilia (esposo Agustín), Edith (esposo Efrén), Carlos (esposa Perla), Carolina y Felipe; sus nietos, Jennifer, Stacy, Kimberly, Stephanie, Ashley, Kevin, Jocelyn, Edgar Jr., Karen, Aarón, Edward, Giselle, Richard, Camila, Irvin, Michelle, Sofía y Dylan; sus bisnietos, Angel, Maxwell, Mitchell, Malcolm, Adelyn, Allison y Santiago; sus hermanos, Esteban, Alejo y Fidencio; y sus hermanas, Soledad, Alfonsa y Marcelina. Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Melitón y Nicolasa, así como su hermano Francisco.

La velación se llevará a cabo en Roswell Funeral Home, ubicado en 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076, el día 19 de junio de 2026, de 2:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m.

La misa de cuerpo presente se celebrará en la Iglesia Católica St. Thomas Aquinas, ubicada en 535 Rucker Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30004, el 20 de junio de 2026 a las 11:00 a.m.

Posteriormente, se realizará el servicio de sepultura en Green Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum, ubicado en 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076.

La partida de Felipe deja un vacío inmenso en nuestros corazones, pero su legado será siempre recordado y honrado. Los valores que nos inculcó permanecerán como una guía en nuestra manera de vivir, de tratar a los demás y de enfrentar los desafíos de la vida. Nos dejó el regalo más valioso: un ejemplo de cómo amar profundamente y con honor. Llevaremos esa luz con nosotros para siempre.

Felipe Zúñiga Trejo, aged 78, passed away on June 13th, 2026. He was born on June 6th, 1948 to Melitón Zúñiga González and Nicolasa Trejo Ramírez in Hidalgo, México.

Felipe was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He was known for his kindness, strength, compassion, humor, hard work and dedication to his family and home.

Throughout his life, Felipe achieved many of his life goals by leaving Mexico to provide for his family of eight, eventually retiring to dedicate more time to them and himself. He truly lived his life through the simplest of pleasures, listening to traditional Mexican music, playing basketball, watching wrestling and soccer, going home to Mexico to enjoy its nature and spending time with family and friends in conversation. He touched the lives of countless individuals through his drive to always being a good man and his ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.

He will deeply be missed by his wife, Leonila; his children, Susana, Otilia (husband Agustin), Edith (husband Efren), Carlos (wife Perla), Carolina, Felipe; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Stacy, Kimberly, Stephanie, Ashley, Kevin, Jocelyn, Edgar Jr., Karen, Aarón, Edward, Giselle, Richard, Camila, Irvin, Michelle, Sofía, Dylan; his great-grandchildren, Angel, Maxwell, Mitchell, Malcolm, Adelyn, Allison, Santiago; his brothers, Esteban, Alejo, Fidencio; his sisters, Soledad, Alfonsa, Marcelina. He was preceded in death by his parents Melitón and Nicolasa and Brother, Francisco.

A visitation will be held at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076, on June 19th from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 535 Rucker Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30004 on June 20th, 2026 at 11:00 am.

A graveside interment service will follow and be held at Green Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076.

Felipe’s departure leaves a void in our hearts, but his legacy will forever be cherished and honored and all the values he instilled in us will live on as a guiding force in how we navigate the world, treat others and face challenges. He gave us the ultimate gift - a blueprint for how to love deeply and love honorably- and we will carry that flame forward forever.
