Dear Dad…I just want you to know that you never had to apologize for anything; you did nothing wrong..I’m out now, living with my girlfriend in my own apartment, with my own car and a baby on the way soon. I can’t begin to describe how much I miss you, of how much I wish you were here, and the feelings of loneliness that plague me on a daily basis, knowing that I’ll never get to hug or kiss you again. Jen’s in Heaven with you, I’m sure of it, so at least you have the Love of your Life with you up there, but down here, we are all still struggling to make sense of everything…you were the Rock of the Fleischer family, the glue that held us all together, and when you passed, it all fell apart; I haven’t really spoken to Uncle Danny or Aunt Valerie, I rarely speak to Jordan, and I haven’t had much contact at all with your side of the family since I got out of prison in December…I’m crying as I write this, so please forgive me for not saying or expressing as much as I’m feeling, but I PROMISE you that I think about you every single day, I talk about you all the time, I catch myself saying and doing the very same things you used to…and most of all, I can still feel your hand on my shoulder, telling me that everything will be okay…I miss you terribly, but your memory will ALWAYS Live in my Heart…Thank you for being the best dad in the whole World to Jordan and I, for always listening to me when I spoke, and for being there for me, even when I tried my hardest to push you and everyone else away…I am so proud of you, for being the man you were, for overcoming your addiction, and for showing me how to be an adult out here in society.I’ll never forget those trips to EB games, and the way you always made me laugh, even when I was really hurting inside. That's what we called you, our parents' very close friends and our neighbors across the street. So Gary was like a cousin to me as well as my constant playmate in my earliest years growing up. Gary was so very special.

He was first to get his driver's license in our grade. I will always remember at least once or twice a week (perhaps when we should have been doing homework) Gary would pick me up on Winchester Street and off we would go to Golf On The Village Green in Natick. What a blast we had.

Gary was a bright light here later in life too given his frequent trips to New England as of late. It was like no time had passed. We were brothers.

Life is going to be a bit less special, with fewer laughs and without the kind ways of our beloved Gary. 

His love of life will live on in those of us who were lucky enought to know and love him...

Our thoughts are with all of the Fleischer family. I have fond memories of our times together and the family activities with Gary. We wish you all the strength during these difficult times when it is important to all be together. Love to all.
