I just read of Norm's passing and I am truly saddened. I worked with him at SunTrust. He was my PDM for awhile and he was a great mentor. I know there are a number of special places around town missing Norm too...he was very kind to so many.

Words cannot express my saddness at learning of Norm's passing. He has been like a second father to me over the years, always greeting me with a big smile and asking about the latest thing going on in my life. I'll never forget the kindness and love he demonstrated not only for his family, but his extended family as well. It has left a lasting impression on me and I'm so grateful.

Valerie, Nic and Tracey- Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends for strength, and always remember how much you are cared about. My thoughts and heart are with you during this difficult time.

I am so sorry. I just heard of Norm's passing. I pray that God provides your family the comfort it needs during this time of grief. Please accept my sincere condolences. 
  
I am very glad that our paths had crossed.  Norm's connection to my life brought the two most important people into it - my children. 

I met Norm in 1993 working at Hanover Insurance in Massachusetts.  In 1994, he hired and moved me to Atlanta to work on his team. He was both my manager and a good friend.  During that time, he introduced me to the woman who became the mother of my beautiful children.

In 2002, although we both became employees of SunTrust, we did not work together and we slowly lost touch with each other, but he will always remain as one of my most important connections in life.  A great boss, a good friend and a blessing.
 
Norm - You will always be remembered and thank you for my children, Calynn and Mia.

I had the honor of working with Norm at Bay State Abrasives way, way back in the early 1980s.  Norm was always a top notch contributor delivering initiative and effort in his quality work !  Over time, I grew to understand that Norm lived life at home practicing the same fine qualities as my family became friends with Norm, Val, Tracey, and Nicole.  If only the world consisted of more Norm Smalls, it would be a far better place.

I worked with Norm at SunTrust Bank.  What a great man and leader.  He had a kind and gentle soul - just such a nice guy.   I am sharing a message by Henry Scott Holland that I am hoping will give you comfort as it did with me.

We were so sad to hear of Norm's passing. We were celebrating Jim's birthday Tuesday in Myrtle Beach, one of Norm's favorite places. We took a little time to sit on the beach and reflect on our friendship with Norm...he will be missed... Valerie and family,please accept our sincere condolences.

Norm was always good to me when I was at SunTrust.  I enjoyed working for him and with him while I was there.  I will miss him.

I just finished looking at the photo album and it brings back such deep memories of our life on O'Neil Drive.  So long ago but deep within my soul.  I write to you with a deep sadness.  My thoughts are with you both and your families.  Know that we Teschners are all sharing this moment together even though we are spread across three continents.

On several occasions, I've told young people and adults to be extremely thankful for the close childhood friends they've had. I always mentioned first of all my neighbor and best friend, Norman Small. I'll forever be grateful to Norm for being the best friend a boy could have from kindergarten through young adulthood when he married his best,best friend, Valerie.

No words can express the sadness I feel today. I have known Norm since I was just a kid when he was dating my sister Valerie...when I joined the work force I had the opportunity to work with Norm.  I remember the times  we use to visit each other at work and have really great conversations.   Even though we lived so far apart I never felt that Norm was far away.  I have always felt a special connection with Norm and will always remember the happy times we shared.  He will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
