Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 31, 1947 to the late George and Peg Hinckley, Greg is survived by his wife, Latrelle, his children Kimberly and Doug, and siblings David, Tom and Carol. He is preceded in death by his brother, Paul.
Greg earned his MBA from the University of Florida while serving in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was a prominent CPA in the Atlanta area for 40 years, most of that as head of his own firm. Many devoted clients became lifelong friends.
Greg loved riding his motorcycle, an interest he shared with his late brother Paul, and he served as Treasurer of the North Georgia Motorcycle Club. He also enjoyed driving his “Z Car” and was a member of the Atlanta Z Club. Greg was an avid reader, history buff, and NASCAR fan, and he enjoyed model building. At times, nothing made him happier than watching birds at his backyard feeder.
Greg was a devoted husband and father who loved spending time with his family and his cat, a stray who found a warm home with Greg’s family. He touched many lives and was known for his kindness, loyalty, generosity and humility. He leaves behind many who will miss him terribly.
