Harold C. Oles

Harold C. Oles, 99, of Roswell, GA, died on Thursday, July 26, 2012 in Halcyon Hospice House following a short illness. Harold was born March 21, 1913 to Cecil and Helen Oles in Chicago, the older of 2 children.

Harold was a resident of Roswell, GA for 18 years. Prior to living in Roswell, Mr. Oles resided in Ridgewood, NJ for 60 years. Before he moved to Ridgewood, NJ, he lived in Oakland, NJ and in New York City.

He worked for the Prudential Insurance Company as a District Manager and the Citizens First National Bank in Ridgewood, NJ as a Vice-President.

An avid golfer, he was a member of Brookfield Country Club for 18 years and Ridgewood Country Club for many years.

Harold is survived by his daughter, Lorri Sauder of Roswell, GA; his daughter, Phyllis Stratton of Waretown, NJ; his daughter Ginny Hogan and her husband Gerry Hogan of Tega Cay, SC; 7 grandchildren, Phillip Sauder, Sandy Sauder Orr and Dave Orr, Holly Stratton Cedro and Keith Cedro, Lorri Stratton Moser and Jeff Moser, Aimee Stratton Cangalosi and Jon Cangalosi, Elizabeth Hogan Kubie and Russ Kubie, and Patrick Hogan; 14 great-grandchildren; his sister Norma Hyde and her husband Roy Hyde of Jackson, NJ; his niece Barbara Phillips and her family; his nephew Charles Friedel. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his spouse, Marcel Oles; his granddaughter, Sarah Hogan; his son-in-law, Richard Sauder; his son-in-law, Robert Stratton.

The visitation will be held at 2:00 – 4:00pm August 10 at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076. A small, private ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 11.
