

Harold V. Nyland, 88, of Alpharetta went to be with the Lord on July 19th, 2016. Retiring from Southern Bell as an engineer after thirty eight years, here was a man that was a lover of life who lived life to the fullest and was always looking forward to his next birthday party, where friends and family would gather on his behalf. Preceded in death by his wife, Gene H. Nyland, mother to their four children; Scott, Betsy, Stanley and Gary. Also left behind, Behnam, a son-in-law who was more like a son, along with six grandchildren; Erion, Brittney, Bruce, Taylor, Nikki, and Lexi along with nieces, nephews and many close friends. A member at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Alpharetta; he took his job of reading at mass very serious and enjoyed the company of many of his closest friends who he met there. Recently, he had become a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic service organization. A wonderful man we will truly miss, visitation for friends and family will take place July 21th at 2p-4p and 6p-8p at the Roswell Funeral Home. Services to celebrate his life are set for July 22nd at 2 pm at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Alpharetta, Georgia with the burial service to follow at Green lawn Cemetery in Roswell, Ga. With a great man’s passing, the family wishes to thank all the wonderful people that touched his life in so many ways. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd Roswell Ga. 30076. Services will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 at 2:00pm at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 535 Rucker Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30004. Graveside Service to Follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
