Horace P. Edmond, Jr. died peacefully in Duluth, GA on December 9, 2010. He is survived and dearly loved by his wife of 61 years, Joan Brooks Edmond, his children and in-laws: Anne Edmond (Spouse Michael Romeo) of Roswell, Cathy (Spouse Steve) of Menlo Park, CA., Charles (Spouse Leslie) of Alpharetta, Lee (Spouse Lisa) of Suwanee, a sister Marianne Penhallegan (Spouse Bill) in Clearwater, Fl and Grandchildren: Caitlin, Cara, Stephen, Michael Romeo, Matthew, Caroline, CJ, Emily, Marianna, and Kristen. He and Joan are 30+ year residents of Dunwoody, GA. Born January 15, 1922 in Columbus, GA, he served in WW II in the Army Air Corps. His professional career in insurance was over 40 years as Vice President of The Insurance Company of North America, and Jim Anderson & Co. in Decatur, GA. He was a lifetime Georgia Bulldog fan and graduate of UGA. Horace was a past Governor of the Mayflower Society, Georgia Colony. Services for Horace's memory will be Saturday December 11 3pm at the Roswell Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers any donation to the American Heart Association in his name would be very much appreciated.
