Hub was a cherished United States Army veteran having served in World War II. He lived in Roswell, Georgia, since 1951 and was a proud member of the Roswell Masonic Lodge #165. He was the oldest member of the Lodge and served faithfully for 67 years. In 1965, he joined the Roswell First Baptist Church and was a lifelong member.
He was a Prudential Insurance Agent in Roswell for 22 years after working for The Southern Freight Railroad Bureau for 21 years. While working with Prudential, he was consistently one of the top producing agents in the US, earning Million Dollar Roundtable Status for nearly 20 years and becoming a Life-Time member.
Hub was a man of many hobbies. He was a fisherman, hunter, woodworker and Indian artifact collector and later in life loved a good Word Search book. Besides his many talents, he became a certified scuba diver at the age of 50 and enjoyed many adventures catching lobsters, spearfishing and shell collecting. He loved his family and spent a lot of his spare time woodworking in his basement shop making things to give to family, friends and strangers. There were certain items he made for decades to give away and he logged each one in his logbook that numbers in the 700 range. Hub was extremely outgoing and succeeded in many tasks. He was most proud of his arrowhead collection, his Indian artifacts and the artwork he created using arrowheads. At last count he had 70+ framed artworks. Hubert was a people-person who never met a stranger. He could engage in any conversation and established relationships among many. His life and influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him.
