Mr. Hubert Dean Roper, age 81, of Dawsonville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, with his family by his side. Hubert was born on May 28, 1940 at Grady Hospital, in Atlanta, Georgia, the son to the late Claude and Edna Roper. He proudly served our country for six years by joining the United States Marine Corps from 1959 to 1965.
Hubert met the love of his life, Grace, and they were united in matrimony. This union of 57 years of happiness was blessed with a loving son, Hubert Dean Roper, Jr. Hubert and Grace loved each other and enjoyed many years of precious moments and adventures together.
Hubert lived life to the fullest. He was extremely talented and was self-employed for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors and was known for his landscaping, painting, and building new projects.
Hubert first priority was his family. He adored his family, as he loved having his family and friends around. He was a devoted husband of 57 years, a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. His life and influence will forever live on in the lives of those who knew him.
Hubert is survived by his devoted wife, Grace Roper; son, Hubert Dean Roper, Jr.; three grandchildren, Matt Roper, Celina Jones and Ashley Bearden; eight great grandchildren and friends.
