Butch was a beloved husband of Marsha Charlene Galloway Hamilton. Butch has three siblings, Peggy Hoskins and Brenda Furlong of Indianapolis, Indiana and the late John Lockett of New Palestine, Indiana.
He has two daughters, Jill (Kevin) Brown and Julie Cantrell (Ray Brinson); Grandsons: Joshua (Kristina) Hughes and Will Bennett; Great Grandson, Kaden Hughes; Numerous sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews and other family members.
He was known for his love for sports especially basketball and his dedication to The James Gang Ministry at First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, Ga.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Throughout his life Butch considered his family as his greatest accomplishments. He touched the lives of countless individuals through his missionary travels as well as his work with The James Gang at the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro.
He was preceded in death by his mother Maxine Violet Lockett and his brother John Lockett.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday November 9, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro.
The family also request that those attending in Honor of Butch to wear their favorite sports team shirt.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The James Gang Ministry in C/O First Baptist Church of Jonesboro in memory of James Hamilton.
Butch’s passing leaves a void in our hearts but his legacy will forever be cherished.
