James Irving (Jim) Pratt, age 18, passed away as a result of a car accident on April 24, 2017. Jim was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 21, 1999 to Jamie Calabrese and Thomas Pratt. Jim was a senior at Lassiter High School and was deeply involved in their NJROTC program.
He was hoping to serve our country, having enlisted in the Marine Corps and was set to go to Boot Camp after graduation, and then attend Kennesaw State University. Jim was always seen helping other people and was known for having an unrivaled sense of kindness for others.
Jim leaves behind a loving mother, Jamie, his father, Tom, his step-father Brett Lago, his two sisters, Stella and Lilly, and three sets of grandparents, James and Joyce Calabrese, Irving and Nancy Pratt, and Frank and Ann Lago, as well as a large extended family.
A memorial service to remember Jim’s life will take place Sunday, April 30 at 2 pm at Piedmont Church (570 Piedmont Road, Marietta, GA) with light refreshments afterwards.
