It is with great sadness that the family of J. B. Baker announces his passing. J. B. Baker, 83, of the Holbrook Campground community in Alpharetta, Georgia, went on to be with the Lord Jesus on Friday, March 23, 2018.
J. B. Baker was born on May 15, 1934 in Hornsby, Tennessee. He was the son of James Henry and Bertha Maude Baker. He received his high school diploma while serving in the U S Army. He retired from his career as a cabinet installer with Diversified Cabinet Distributors in May of 1999. Mr. Baker enjoyed watching television, driving in the mountains, and spending time with his family. He was a kind man and could carry on a conversation with anyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his wife of forty-one years, Mrs. Vivian E. Baker. He is survived by his son, Larry Dennis Baker and his sons’ wife Charissa Denise Baker. He had two grandchildren: Vivian Alexis Baker, age eighteen, and Charles William Baker, age sixteen. He was very proud of his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. If one had a conversation of any length with him, this became obvious.
The viewing for Mr. Baker will take place on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 P.M. in the chapel of Roswell Funeral Home with an Interment immediately following at Green Lawn Cemetery.
