

Jean Elliott Dowling, was born in Tampa, FL and lived in Roswell GA, passed away Saturday June 18, 2016 due to ongoing complications with congestive heart failure. Jean had a strong will to live, surviving multiple health challenges with grace and optimism.
Prior to graduating from Roswell High School 1961, Jean won the Miss North Fulton County beauty pageant. She later enrolled at Emory University, graduating with a Bachelor of Psychology degree in 1977.
Jean was a realtor for many years with Northside Realty before going into business with a Mailboxes, Etc franchise in NE Cobb, where she lived for 25 years. Jean loved travel, Florida beaches, swimming and especially enjoyed SCUBA diving. She was a former treasurer of the Roswell Women's Club, and member of the Roswell Rotary Club, The North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, Roswell United Methodist Church and the RUMC Travelers Club.
Jean is survived by her son James Elliott Perry, her brother and sister-in-law Bud and Dianne Elliott and her forever friend and 20-year marital partner Bill Dowling. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Jesse Wansley and Carol Gwendolyn Elliott, and nephew Alan Robert Elliott.
Memorial services to be held Saturday July 16, 2016- 11:00am at Roswell United Methodist Church Chapel, 814 Mimosa Blvd, Roswell GA 30075. After the service, the family will receive friends in the parlor.
