Jerry Andrew Yundt, age 80, of Johns Creek, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born on January 8, 1941, in Elmhurst, Illinois the son to the late Howard and Charlotte Yundt.
Jerry met the love of his life, Rebecca “Becky”, and they were united in matrimony. This union was blessed with 20 years of marriage. Jerry and Becky loved each other and spent many years sharing precious memories and adventures together.
Jerry was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. He was an athlete at Proviso East HS, playing football for the best high school team in the nation...But wrestling being his primary and favorite sport. Jerry grew up fishing in the north woods of Hayward, WI and loved to go on fishing trips with his son, son in-law, and grandsons. He was a sales representative in the restaurant industry for most of his career, eventually starting his own successful sales rep firm, having his family well trained to turn over every plate when out to dinner to check the manufacturer.
Jerry and his son enjoyed ribbing each other over the rivalry between their favorite baseball teams, John's, the Chicago Cubs, and Jerry's, the St. Louis Cardinals. Jerry was a lifelong Cardinal fan and was able to go the stadium with his son's family in recent years. He was dog lover and found faithful companionship with his dogs Lucky and Samantha.
Jerry is preceded by his parents, Michael Howard Yundt, and Charlotte Yundt, his brother Michael Yundt, his brother in-law Charles Anderson and his dog Lucky (still did not help him win the Lotto).
He will be missed by his loving wife, Rebecca Yundt, his sister, Shirley Anderson, children, John Michael Yundt, (Ellen Le Grand), daughter, Debra Diane Reuter, (Douglas Reuter) and step daughter Stephanie Schubert. Grandchildren, Amanda Reuter, Spencer Reuter, Madeleine Yundt, and Ryan Yundt, along with his nieces and nephews.
