Joab Johnson “Joe” Morris, 87, of Roswell, GA, passed away at home on March 4, 2014. He was born October 12, 1926 in Wilmington, NC and grew up in nearby Burgaw, NC. Joe attended the Citadel in Charleston, SC and served two tours of duty in the US Army. As a young man, he moved to Atlanta where he met his wife of 48 years, Betty Wansley. He was a member of Roswell First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife; daughters, Jane Morris and Mary Morris Largent (Mike) and grandchildren, Catherine, Meredith and John Largent. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm – 7:00pm on Friday, March 7 at Roswell Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at 10:00am on Saturday, March 8 at Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Roswell First Baptist Church or the Gentiva Hospice Foundation.
