John Patrick Golden

Born on April 1, 1955 in Queens, New York to Mary Hickey- Golden and John Joseph Golden, John went to school to work in the Insurance Industry. He went on to build a rewarding career at companies including New York Life, Vertihealth, and BCBS until his retirement in 2025. He was innovative in his work and incredibly instrumental in the founding of the MinuteClinic System, creating the concept that gives people access to medical care when they need it most.

On December 2, 2000, John married Ann Dusseault Dutcher in Las Vegas, NV. Together, they shared 25 wonderful years of marriage and raised 3 children.

John had a passion for sports, especially baseball, football, and horse racing. His beloved NY Mets and NY Jets were always something he loved to watch and talk about with others. He loved going to the Saratoga Race track to watch the horse races. He was known for his infectious laugh and sense of humor, kindness, generosity and his love for his family and friends. He was inviting and made you feel as though he had known you for an extended time, even if it was the first time of interaction. In recent years, he enjoyed taking beach trips with his family to Miramar Beach, FL and spending a full week at a time just being together and slowing down.

John is survived by his wife, Ann; children John Joseph Golden -lovingly nicknamed “Johno”- and Tori, Jonathan Dutcher and Jessica, and Joshua Dutcher and Libby; grandchildren Natalie Golden, John Joseph Golden “Johnny”, Ford Dutcher, Delilah Dutcher, and Juliet Dutcher; siblings Val Barnickle and Barbara Ann Sacchi; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. Golden and Mary Hickey- Golden, his sister Gerri Braconi and his brother Robert Golden.

A celebration of John’s life will be held on August 2, 2026 at noon at Roswell Funeral Home 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell GA 30076 . The family welcomes both flowers and memorial contributions directly to The Auditory Verbal Center in Atlanta, GA, in John's memory.
