Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, John built a remarkable career spanning over four decades with Lanier Worldwide/Ricoh, where he held numerous leadership roles in sales, service, and global strategic marketing. His final position as head of the Ricoh Atlanta Technology Center reflected his visionary approach and dedication to innovation.
John was passionate about golf and rarely missed an opportunity to play. He was a mentor to many, known for his wisdom, fairness, kindness, and forward-thinking leadership. After retiring, he devoted himself to service at St. Andrew Catholic Church, where he served as Treasurer, was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, and volunteered generously.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. His legacy lives on through his wife, Paulette Brown; daughter Jennifer Healy Rooney (Randall Rooney); son Michael Healy (Michelle Healy); grandchildren Brittany Healy Lawler (Brian Lawler), Madeline Healy, and William Healy; and great-grandchildren Braxton, Baylie, Beckett John, and Blaise Richard. He is also survived by his brother Donald Healy (Donna), sister-in-law Kathy Healy, brothers-in-law Keith Brown (Marie) and Randall Brown (Veronica), and many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. William D. Healy and Doris V. Healy; his brother Thomas Healy; and his niece Kelly Healy Carden.
His absence leaves a profound gap in the lives of those who knew him, but his spirit will continue to guide and inspire. He will be waiting for us in the afterlife with open arms.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 675 Riverside Dr. Roswell, Ga, followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. John was a supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital if you would like to make any donations on his behalf.
