John William Clifton Keyton, 81, passed peacefully at the home of his daughter in Alpharetta on Thursday, June 2, 2016. He was born in Wrightsville, GA to the late Elmo and Bessie Jackson Keyton. He was a retired McDonald’s franchise owner. Mr. Keyton was predeceased by his wife, Hazel Price Keyton; brothers, Jack, Linton and Jere; brother-in-laws and sister-in-law, Dewey Peavy, Millard Smith and Cleon and Jean Price. He is survived by his daughters Kellie Mitchell (Tom) of Alpharetta; Monique Lee (Billy) of Oviedo, FL; granddaughters, Lindsay and Lauren Lee; sisters, Geraldine Peavy, Joy Smith, Diane Christy (Walt); and nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 20th, at 2:00 at St. John’s United Methodist Church, Greene Street, Augusta, with Elder Max N. Hicks officiating. The family will receive friends at 1:00 at the church. Interment will be private at Pineview Memorial Gardens.
