John was the beloved husband of Madeline for 57 years and the loving father of Magdi Holliger (Hank) and John Kiss (Laura). He was a cherished grandfather to Ryan Kiss, Alyssa Kiss, Lukas Holliger, Lauren Holliger, and Quinn Holliger. John was preceded in death by his father Antal B Kiss, mother Ilona Kiss, brother Tony Kiss, and granddaughter Anna Holliger.
He immigrated to the United States from Hungary in 1956 at the age of 20. He learned English and had a successful career as the owner of a printing business in Chicago. He retired and moved to Georgia in 1988 to try his hand as a cattle farmer. He was a skilled investor and loved watching sports on TV.
John was very proud of his Hungarian heritage and of being a US citizen. He lived the “American dream.” Most of all, he loved his family.
A visitation for John will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at St Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church, 4633 Shiloh Rd, Cumming, GA 30040. A funeral mass will follow at 1:00 PM. The service will be livestreamed at https://bit.ly/STBKiss The password is Kiss
Following the mass, John will be laid to rest at Green Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076. A reception will follow in the Roswell Funeral Home Event Room.
John will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
