John Lee Radzieta

Born on July 27, 1946, in Pelham, Georgia, John was the son of the late John and Ruby Lee Harmon Radzieta. As the son of an Air Force serviceman, he spent his childhood living in many different cities, an experience that helped shape his adventurous spirit and lifelong love of learning.

John earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Texas in 1967 before honorably serving in the United States Marine Corps. His passion for education and innovation led him to pursue multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Science in Aeronautical Systems from the University of West Florida, a Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics from Georgia State University, and a Master of Information Technology.

Throughout his distinguished career, John shared his love of mathematics as a teacher in Henry County and Woodward Academy. He later transitioned into the information technology field. In 1978 he joined C&S Bank (which later merged with Bank of America), where he retired after a successful career.

John embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. He loved traveling, taking scenic drives, playing tennis, skiing, and capturing life's special moments through photography. While his many accomplishments were impressive, John's greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved. He was a devoted husband, a loving brother, a cherished uncle, and a loyal friend whose kindness, intelligence, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Connie Radzieta; his siblings, Donna Minor (Steve), Susan Young, Ron Radzieta (Peg), and David Radzieta (Denise); along with several beloved nieces and nephews who will forever treasure his memory.

A Celebration of John's life will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
