Joyce Peters

Joyce L. Peters (nee: Clemmons) 91, of Elyria, OH (formerly of Roswell and Sandy Springs, GA.) passed away Monday July 29, 2024 at O’Neil Healthcare in North Ridgeville. She was born January 10, 1933 in New London, OH.

Joyce was lovingly devoted to her family. She had a beautiful voice and sang in many weddings over the years. Joyce was a gifted artist and worked with both oil and water colors; she also was an avid reader.

Survivors include two daughters; Laura Murray (James) of Elyria, Michelle Hayes (Allan) of Waleska, GA., a son Daniel Peters (Patty) of Alpharetta, GA. Additional survivors include eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a sister; Ardis Budd of Sandusky, OH. Joyce was preceded in death by a daughter; Patricia Hadaway (Richard), her parents; Ernest and Bessie (nee: Schuman) Clemmons, three sisters; Mary Klimoseiwski (Joseph), Ernestine Hobbs (James), Jeanette Filla (Joseph), and a brother; Douglas Clemmons.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM August 5th at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 675 Riverside Rd, Roswell GA 30075, followed by a graveside prayer and Burial at Greenlawn Cemetary, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell GA 30076.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
