

Judith Elizabeth Rochelle, age 76, passed away on October 13, 2023, in Alpharetta, Georgia. She was born on November 29, 1946, to Morton Daniels and Elizabeth Bamber Rochelle in Passaic, New Jersey. Judy was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was known for her kindness, selfless love and care she gave to her family, friends and students.
Throughout the more than 30 years as an educator, she touched countless lives as a teacher. Judy taught early elementary-aged children in North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Godalming, England.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters Stephanie Gudger Jacobs (Chris) of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Christine Gudger Boudolf (David) of Charleston, South Carolina; her grandchildren who knew her as MumMum; Caroline, Noah, Ella and Molly; her brothers Rick Rochelle of Jacksonville, Florida (wife Julie and daughter Suzanne) of and Bob Rochelle of Boone, North Carolina (wife Mitzi and children Daniel and Emily). She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Bruce Rochelle.
A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Salisbury, NC, on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate Judy’s life and honor her contributions to this world. After the service, her remains will be interred in the columbarium in the church courtyard. The family will receive friends afterward in the Fellowship Hall.

Judy is irreplaceable to those who knew her but will live in the hearts of all those she met forever.
