Judith Ann Schmid, age 76, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home in Roswell, Georgia on February, 15th, 2014. She is predeceased by her parents Waldo and Olive Uecker of Rapid City, South Dakota and her loving son Timothy Schmid of Hopkington, Mass. She is survived by husband of 55 years George Schmid, who was the love of her life. She is also survived by her son Michael Schmid of Monroe, NC and her brother John Uecker of Mesa, AZ.
She was a graduate of Rapid City High School. “Hard as nails, tough as bricks, we’re the class of 56”. She attended the Colorado University when she met her future husband George. Their marriage was of story book proportion. Judy loved her family more than life itself. She was an elegant woman whose values and ethics were uncompromised. Her courage and bravery will not ever be forgotten. She was truly a gift of God to all who were graced by her presence. Judy was an avid supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project.
