Judy Rudasill

Judy Paula Rudasill, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on February 26, 1945, in Atlanta, Georgia, at Piedmont Hospital, she was the cherished daughter of the late Ray and Dorothy Ergle.

Judy was a graduate of Brown High School, class of 1963. Alongside her husband, she co-owned and operated H&R Photography, leaving behind a legacy of beautiful memories captured through the lens.

A vibrant spirit, Judy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed traveling with her bridge club. Family trips to St. Simons Island held a special place in her heart, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.

In addition to her adventures, Judy had a talent for baking, known for her world-famous chocolate chip cake and the personalized birthday cakes she lovingly created for her family. Her kitchen was always filled with warmth and the aroma of something sweet baking in the oven.

Above all, Judy was a devoted mother and grandmother, known affectionately as "Grammy." Her love knew no bounds, and her kindness, humor, and mischievous pranks endeared her to all who knew her. Her love extended beyond her immediate family, as she shared a special bond with her sister, Duane Elias.

Judy leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her daughters, Julie Person (Matt) and Jill Post (Ben), her beloved grandchildren, Maddie and Mac, and her sister, Duane Elias.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Jack and Judy on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dementia Society of America, https://www.dementiasociety.org/

Though she may no longer be with us in body, Judy's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her love and light. May her memory be a blessing and may she rest in eternal peace.
