Kathleen was a loving, caring and generous lady that loved her family dearly and shared this love with her many friends.
Kathleen was born on January 15, 1929, in Cumming, Georgia, and was raised with love by W.O. and Vader Porter along with her eight siblings.
She married Hoyt Lane of Roswell in 1948 and enjoyed 47 wonderful years of marriage until his death in 1995.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Marie, Myrtie, Belle and her brothers Johnie, Bobby and Harold. She is survived by her sister Evelyn and brother Howard.
She was always a lady on the go. Even though Kathleen never learned to drive, with the help of her family, friends and caregivers she kept the roads hot. She enjoyed every opportunity to have lunch or dinner at one of her favorite restaurants with any of her friends that were available.
Kathleen retired from Fireman's Fund Insurance after more than four decades of dedicated service. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church where she and Hoyt attended regularly with a passion and love for God.
A Celebration of her life will be held at 12:00 on Saturday, July 20, 2019, in the chapel of Roswell Funeral Home. Reverend Bud Sutton and Reverend Don Westray will officiate. Graveside services will follow with internment at Green Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive guests on Friday, July 19, 2019, from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and on Saturday, July 20, 2019, from 10:00am - 12:00pm.
We are sadden by our loss but also joyous for her journey to join our Lord and Savior.
