Mr. Kenneth J. Cassell, 81, of Canton, GA, formerly of Sacramento, CA passed away on Dec. 28, 2011. He served in the U.S. Army and was also a teacher and coach for 12 years. Ken was an alumnus of Nebraska Weslyan University and the University of Nebraska. Ken was a Real Estate Broker for 41 years and owned Cassell Real Estate. Beloved by his wife of 51 years, Abby, he is also survived by son Stuart (Karen) Cassell; grandson Colin of Marietta, GA, sister Florine Jackson of Phoenix, AZ, step-brother Robert Karnatz of Hastings, NE and step-sister Lila Schill of Longview, WA. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 6th, at Roswell Presbyterian Church, 755 Mimosa Blvd., Roswell, GA 30075. He will be placed at rest in Quincy, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice. Roswell Funeral home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
