

Kristen Fricks–Roman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 28, 2025, at the age of 69. Born in Decatur, Illinois, Kristen’s warmth and loving spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ted Roman; her children, Maria Hickman, Elena House (Justin), and Oxana Ware; and five cherished grandchildren—Melanie, Aubrey, and Noah Hickman, and Denver and Hendrix House. She is also survived by her siblings: Dawn Richards (Eric), Larry Livergood (Chris), and Darren Livergood (Debbie); as well as a niece, Jennifer Powell (David); a nephew, Bryson Richards (Tasha); and seven great-nieces and nephews who were always close to her heart. Kristen was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Larry Fricks.
Kristen lived a life full of love, laughter, and generosity. She had an incredible way of making everyone feel welcome and important. Whether family, friend, or stranger, she opened her heart and her home without hesitation.
Kristen’s faith and love for God guided every aspect of her life. A devoted member of the Christian Science Church, she served faithfully for three years as First Reader, conducting both Sunday and Wednesday services with grace and sincerity. She dedicated many years as treasurer of her Christian Science Association, fulfilling her responsibilities with diligence and integrity. She lived her faith, always expressing intelligence, integrity, and endless generosity and love.
Professionally, Kristen was a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley, where she served clients for over 47 years. She held the prestigious designations of Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist℠ (CRPS®), and earned titles of Senior Vice President, Family Wealth Advisor, and Portfolio Manager. Kristen was deeply committed to financial education and often used her own life experiences to guide clients through significant life transitions with empathy and understanding. Many of her clients remained with her for decades, ultimately becoming close personal friends. She was known for going far beyond the traditional responsibilities of her role—offering thoughtful counsel, tireless support, and a level of care that left a lasting impact on the lives she touched. Kristen’s professional legacy is one of enduring relationships, integrity, and excellence.
Kristen shared a deep love with her husband Ted, a bond built on mutual respect and unwavering support. Their marriage was a true partnership, filled with joy, resilience through life’s challenges, and quiet moments of understanding that needed no words. They shared many wonderful adventures together—traveling the world, flying Ted’s airplane, and taking motorcycle rides. They had a remarkable ability to find joy in any situation, whether exploring new places or simply enjoying each other’s company. Their love was steadfast, selfless, and deeply rooted in the life they built together.
At the center of Kristen’s life was her resolute love for her family. She found great joy in bringing loved ones together by hosting family gatherings and holidays, offering a listening ear, or sharing thoughtful advice. Her presence always brought comfort, peace, and a sense of home. Kristen was the steady, quiet force who held the family together, always finding ways to connect loved ones, no matter how far apart they were. She was the keeper of traditions, nurturing connection and a deep sense of belonging.
She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, priceless memories, unity, kindness, warmth, and a deep sense of care that touched everyone she met. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy. She will be deeply missed and her memory forever cherished.

A funeral service for Kristen will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076. Following the service there will be a reception and a time of sharing.
