Ms. Laura Garcia Sanchez

Laura Garcia Sanchez, a loving 56 year old mother, grandmother, loving partner, daughter, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on August 3rd, 2026, following a long and courageous battle against Stage IV cancer. Her passing leaves behind an emptiness in the hearts of her family and everyone who had the privilege and honor of knowing and loving her.

Laura was born on September 27,1969 in Ciudad de México, to Odilon Garcia and Carmen Sanchez. Her life was defined by love, sacrifice, perseverance, and an unwavering devotion to the people she cared for.

Laura came to the United States in search of an opportunity to build a better life for herself and for her family back in Mexico. Leaving behind her siblings, one son and especially her mom was not easy, but Laura carried them in her heart through every step of her journey. She worked hard, persevered through life’s challenges and continued moving forward because providing for and caring for her loved ones was always one of her greatest priorities.

Laura was a woman who simply did not know how to stop. She was constantly doing anything and everything that involved being active. Taking a break was never really in her nature, even on vacation she could not turn off that “mom mode.” One of the wonderful memories we share would be our trips to Pensacola,Florida. She loved making memories alongside her family, even on vacation she was always making sure her children were having a good time, were comfortable, and had everything they needed.That was Laura- she could be enjoying the moment herself- but her heart was always focused on making sure the people she loved were enjoying it too.

Family was the center of Laura's world. She loved her children with a love that was endless and unconditional, and she made sure they always knew that they were her priority. Her love was not something anyone had to question. She showed it through the sacrifices she made, the time she gave, the meals she prepared, the work she did, and the countless ways she cared for her family every day. Laura also loved her husband dearly. Their relationship was an important part of her life, and she carried a deep love and devotion for him. Together, they shared a life built through beautiful moments.

Laura's love extended even to her beloved dogs, Luna and Halo, whom she considered part of her family. They were her best friends and brought her companionship and comfort. She loved talking to them, taking them outside, feeding them, and simply

spending time with them. Luna and Halo were deeply loved by Laura, and they too will feel the absence of the person who cared for them so dearly.

One of the sweetest memories her family will carry is watching Laura always dancing with her youngest daughter, Cindy. She loved dancing with her, and those moments reflected so much of who Laura was—joyful, playful, loving, and completely present in the moment. The laughter and happiness they shared through dancing are memories that will forever live in her family's hearts.

Laura also had a special and unforgettable way of loving her older children. No matter how much they grew or how old they became, in her eyes, they would always be her little babies. She loved teasing them, making funny comments, and cracking jokes with them. Her humor was one of the ways she showed her love, and she could make them laugh even in the simplest moments. She never stopped seeing the children she once held in her arms, and that motherly love remained with her throughout her life. To Laura, her children would always be her babies, no matter how grown they became.

Those who knew Laura will always remember her beautiful smile and her big, sparkling black eyes that seemed to reflect the laughter and joy within her. Her laughter had a way of filling a room, and she had a special gift for making people feel comfortable. She loved to crack jokes and had a wonderful sense of humor. If a room became awkward or quiet, she somehow knew exactly how to turn the moment around. She could bring laughter into uncomfortable moments and make people smile when they least expected it. Her ability to bring fun and warmth into a room was one of the many things that made her unforgettable.

Above all, Laura will be remembered for her incredible strength and courage. Life placed many challenges in her path, but she continued to fight, continue working, continue loving, and continue showing up for the people who depended on her. Her strength was not simply in enduring difficult times; it was in continuing to give love and kindness despite them.

For Laura, love was shown through action. It was in the food she prepared, the work she never stopped doing, the jokes she told, the dances she shared, the vacations where she made sure everyone else was happy, the conversations she had, the animals she cared for, and the countless sacrifices she made without asking for recognition.

Laura may have left this world, but she did not leave behind the love she created. That love remains—in her children, her grandchildren, her husband, her family, her friends, and even in Luna and Halo, who will forever remember the woman who loved and cared for them.

Laura truly had a beautiful soul and a generous heart. She gave freely, cared deeply, and rarely thought about herself before thinking about someone else.Her life was a gift to everyone who knew her.

Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort knowing that Laura is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved mother Carmen, father Odilion , her little brother Eustacio, and her nephew Omar. She is once again surrounded by the loved ones who went before her, and we take comfort in knowing that they are welcoming her home with open arms. May she rest peacefully, free from pain, surrounded by love, and forever watching over the family she loved so deeply.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 535 Rucker Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30004 on August 12th, 2026 at 10:00am.

A Committal Service at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, GA 30076, US, on August 12, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
