November 8, 1958 - June 24, 2025
Leonard Harry Clark was born to Douglas T. Smalls and Nancy O'Leary, who preceded him in death. He was later blessed with a beloved bonus mom, Betty Smalls.
Despite health challenges, Lenny's big heart carried him through life until it peacefully took his breath away in his sleep.
At 66, Lenny had lived a vibrant, full life. A world traveler and foodie, he never met a stranger—only friends he hadn't made yet. Whether hosting guests, golfing on a whim, or catching up by phone, he filled every room—and heart—with joy and laughter. He was the glue that bonded classmates for over 50 years, the got-to "phone-a-friend" for advice, sports, fashion, and prayer. Everyone felt like his "best friend"— because he made them feel that way.
In 1983, Lenny married the love of his life, Ramona. Together, they raised two sons: Kenny, who shared his dad's love of conversation, and Niles Leonard, whose athletic achievements made Lenny beam with pride.
Lenny built a remarkable 30+ year career at UPS, retiring as Supply & DIversity Manager. He was deeply committed to inclusion, teamwork, and excellence. A lifelong athlete, golf was his true passion. He won numerous tournaments and chased Tiger Woods-level dreams. He also loved cooking—especially his famous blueberry pancakes. Lenny's legacy is one of kindness, style, generosity, and boundless love.
He is survived by sons Kenny Ray and granddaughter Kenley (Arizona); Niles and Aubrey Clark (Wisconsin); mother-in-law Hilda G. Porter (Georgia); siblings Cheryl Smalls, Timmy & Lisa Smalls (Florida), Sean & Simone O'Leary, Allinda O'Leary (New Jersey); and sister-in-law Regina White (New Jersey). He was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Smalls. Lenny leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends.
A limb has fallen from our family tree. Lenny, you are deeply missed but never forgotten. Your light and legacy live on in us all.
