

Leslie George Eastman, age 91 of Roswell, Georgia, passed away on June 14, 2023. Les was born in Salisbury, England. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Edith Eastman. He is survived by his wife, Jan Eastman, two sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-children and their families. He grew up in the villages and farms of Southern England. His illustrious life and career included world travel in the Royal Navy, BP Oil, British Aircraft Corporation, and export sales. He was recruited and accepted an opportunity with Flux Pumps, Germany, to work in the United States, resulting in permanent residence and retirement. During his childhood and youth, he survived the bombings of southern England in WWII. He served ten years in the Royal Navy including duty in the Korean War.
His memory will be cherished by his family and friends throughout the United States, United Kingdom, and Singapore. He is remembered as a person who brings joy to everyone he meets. A memorial service celebrating Les’ life will be held at Peachtree Christian Church, Atlanta, Georgia, on July 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Jim Bell officiating. Immediately following the service, a reception to greet the family will be provided at the church. Committal of ashes will take place at Hermon Methodist Church Cemetery, Afton, Tennessee, at a later date.
