

Linda Carole Collier Morrison, of Roswell, succumbed to complications from cancer on November 25, 2013. She was born in Century, Florida, on September 14, 1942, to James Quentin and Mae Dell Bohannon Collier. While growing up, her family lived in several areas of the Southeast, and Linda graduated from Pensacola High School, Pensacola, Florida, in 1960. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University in 1964, and married Robert William Morrison of Jacksonville, Florida, on April 25, 1964. Their son, Blake William Morrison, was born in 1968. In 1971, Linda and her son moved from Florida to Atlanta, Georgia, where she lived until the time of her death. She received a Master's Degree from Georgia State University in 1989, and had several careers in Atlanta, including being a partner in the firm of Sheffield-Morrison Court Reporters. She was retired from AT&T, where she had worked in the Public Relations/Communications area. She was an active member of St. David's Episcopal Church in Roswell, and the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution, Martha Stewart Bulloch Chapter. She is predeceased by her mother. Survivors include her father, James Collier of Marietta, Georgia; her beloved son, Blake Morrison and daughter-in-law Cassandra Krause Morrison, of Toluca Lake, California; grandchildren Remi Mae Morrison and Beau William Paul Morrison of Toluca Lake, California; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara Collier Conrad and David Conrad of Marietta, Georgia. A memorial service is planned for 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 21, 2013, at St. David's Episcopal Church, Roswell, Georgia. A reception will follow. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Linda's memory be made to St. David's Episcopal Church, Fund for Families in Need.
