Lunelle was born in Pinewood, TN, a small farming community in Hickman County, Tennessee. A graduate of Hickman County High School, she was hired to teach grades 1 through 12 at a one-room school in Only, TN after attending two years of college at Austin Peay State University, Tennessee Polytechnical Institute, and David Lipscomb College. For many years she was a Sunday school teacher, and she enjoyed gardening and many crafts. She learned to sew at a young age, and was known for being an accomplished seamstress.
In later years, Lunelle was employed at the Internal Revenue Service, as a tax examiner, retiring in 1995.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Allen and Mary Ellen Clark, sister Mary Tom Clark, and brother Stanley Clark.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, William Larimore Henley, Sr., children Ralph D. Henley (Karyn), Larimore Henley, Jr., and Janise Henley Phillips (Edwin). Her grandchildren include Raygan Henley (Chie), Heath Henley (Gunnhild), Devin Phillips (Christina), Wesley Phillips, and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Roswell Funeral Home on November 15, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a chapel service to follow at 3:00 pm at 950 Mansell Rd. Roswell, Georgia, 30076. Burial will be at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens in Nashville, Tennessee, on Saturday, November 17, 2018, following a graveside service at 2:00 p.m.
