Marcelline Baxter Wenger (Marci), a 94 year-old resident of Woodstock, GA passed away Sunday, May 27 at 1:45 a.m. Marci was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia. She was an expert seamstress, member of the American Business Women’s Association but foremost Marci was a mother of three children Brent, Cheryl, and Gary who survive her and will miss her loving care. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Lauren Reed (Tim), Kristen Wenger, Justin Wenger (Amanda), Stephanie and Whitney Jordan, Alyssa and Hannah Wenger; and two great grandchildren, Oliver and Penelope Reed; and her sister, Maxine.
Marci left her hometown with her sister Maxine and courageously moved to Washington D. C. during World War II where Marci met her future husband Wilbur Wenger at a bowling alley. They honeymooned in Niagara Falls, NY and returned home with only enough money to pay their gas credit card bill. They were married for 58 years before Wilbur passed. During those 58 years, Marci and Wilbur built their family through a strong work ethic, religious dedication, and a continued commitment to the families that raised them as vacations were spent with Marci’s or Wilbur’s parents, brothers, sisters, and nieces and nephews. They particularly enjoyed visiting Walt Disney World where they celebrated their Golden Anniversary.
