Mark Joseph Becher, 49, of Johns Creek, Georgia, passed into eternal rest on April 28th, at Emory University Hospital after an extended illness from Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Mr. Becher was born November 11, 1961, in Vincennes, Indiana to William (Bill) Becher and Patricia (Pat) Laakman Becher. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Michelle (Bilskie) Becher, son, Cole Becher (13)daughter Hallee Becher (10), Parents, Pat and Bill Becher, Vincennes, Indiana, two sisters and their spouses, Joyce and Mark McDowell of Wakarusa, Indiana, Elaine and Eric Decker of Alpharetta, Georgia, two nieces, two nephews. A graduate of Lincoln High School in 1980 and Indiana University in 1985. He began a successful business career in the Mortgage Industry when moving to the Atlanta area in 1986. He served as the National Sales Manager for Accredited Home Lenders for 10 years followed by his current position in Sales Management with Real Estate Mortgage Network, Inc. A devoted family man with a love of being a father with a passion for sports and nature. A career of 3 on 3 Basketball for NBC sports ended after three World Championships and a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008 for 20 years of competition. The Funeral Mass will be on May 3, at 10:30am at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 3400 Old Alabama Road, Johns Creek, Georgia 30022. A reception will immediately follow the service in Corbett Hall. A Rosary and Visitation will be on May 2, at 7:00pm at St. Brigid Catholic Church. It is the request of the family that in Lieu of flowers that donations be made in Mark’s memory to The Mark Becher Foundation at 4065 Deverell Street, Johns Creek, Georgia 30022.
