Ms. Martha Judith Pape, “Judi” or to her close friends “Ms. Judi”, age 78, of Alpharetta, Georgia passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022. Judi was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi, on August 25, 1943, a daughter to the late Henry and Evelyn Posey.
Though much of her childhood was spent in Mississippi, Judi called Georgia home. She moved to Georgia in her early twenties, where she married and started her family. Judi raised her two teenage boys as a single mother and worked tirelessly to ensure her boys confidently knew two things; they would never be without and they would always be loved. They were her pride and joy and sacrificed daily for their happiness above her own. Judi also loved Christmas, no really, she loved Christmas. In fact, she decided last year to just keep her Christmas decorations up all year and they are still shinning today. She also loved spending time at the lake with her two boys and their families during the summer months listening to them tell stories about all the trouble they got into as teenagers.
She also loved Alaska and the beauty it beholds, Dahlonega, GA at Christmas, watching college football and having a beer or two for lunch at the bar at her favorite restaurant, Crust. Though there were several things that brought her joy throughout her life, nothing brought her more joy and happiness than being a mother and a grandmother to her only grandchild, Jordan. She would rarely miss any of Jordan’s karate, gymnastics or softball meets.
She was a strong but modest woman, a graceful Christian, and was one of the most selfless, giving, and loving persons you would ever meet. All she wanted upon her demise is for her sons and family to honor instead of mourning her passing by living life to the fullest and being happy; she will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Judi is survived by her two sons, Joey Pape and wife Jill of Lawrenceville; her precious granddaughter, Jordan Pape; and Justin Pape (and Andra Rubright) and several other extended family members and friends also survive.
The family of Ms. Judi Pape will be celebrating her life at a later date.
