

Mary Lou Folds Lanaux, aged 78, passed away on the early morning of April 7th at Emory Johns Creek Hospital/Hospice. She was born on July 23, 1947 in Palmerton, Pennsylvania to Arthur Thomas Folds and Emily Louise Folds.
Mary Lou was the beloved wife of Michael Thomas Lanaux. Mary Lou was known for her work ethic and dedication and for her famous phrase “It’s a 10”. She enjoyed the movies, Broadway productions and traveling.
Throughout her life, Mary Lou achieved many accomplishments in the field of Motion Picture Distribution with the Roger Corman organization Concorde Entertainment working as the Southeastern Regional Sales Director followed by successful career in Real Estate where she touched the lives of countless individuals. Among her accomplishments in real estate were Atlanta Top 100 General Brokerage Agent in 2000 & 2001, Atlanta Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club over multiple years, Top Listing Agent Harry Norman 2013, Harry Norman Realtors Top 20 Agent over several years and the Atlanta Board of Realtors PHOENIX AWARD in 2005.
Mary Lou will be deeply missed by her cousin Kathy Ward of Covington, Louisiana and Carol Simcoe of Palmerton, Pennsylvania and her friends from various parts of the world. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Michael Thomas Lanaux.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Roswell Funeral Home on Mansell Road in Roswell, Georgia to celebrate Mary Lou’s life and honor her contributions to our world. A memorial reception will follow immediately after in the reception hall of the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Tom and Mary Lou Lanaux.
