Michael was attending college for a degree in Information Technology. Learning and being a source of knowledge about many topics that interested him, he could tell you facts about things you never would have heard about. He loved reading manga and watching anime, wanting to learn more about the Japanese culture and language, and received an award for his literary work, considering studying and going to Japan someday. He had dreams and aspirations to travel, see beautiful locations the world had to offer, and maybe even own his own cafe shop when he was older.
Michael enjoyed spending time with his friends and brother by watching movies and playing games. The late night chats that would go on for hours filled with laughter, retelling stories, and talks about life. The outings with friends in suits, long calls and hangouts together, and jokes and fun times they shared. The simple but fond moments with family through his times of struggle and life's brighter days. They will be a special memory for all of us.
During Michael's short but hard battle with cancer, he would still try to do the things he loved while fighting through all the pain. We are very thankful for the friends that came to visit throughout his journey and on the evening before his passing. It meant a lot to his family and to Michael that he could be with friends again one last time.
Michael will be deeply and forever missed by his father, Richard; mother, Evelyn; and brother, Philip.
"And there may come a day when you forget the faces and voices of those you have met along the way.
On that day, I bid you remember this...
That no matter how far your journey may take you, you stand where you stand by virtue of the road you walked to get there.
For in times of hardship, when you fear you cannot go on…
The joy you have known, the pain you have felt, the prayers you have whispered and answered - they shall ever be your strength and your comfort.
This I hope - I believe, here at memory’s end."
