Dr. Moein S Mahallati

Moein was born to his loving family in Shiraz, Iran. He is the devoted husband of Zhilla (Keshmiri) Mahallati; Beloved father of Navid, Nima, and Saeed Sharif Mahallati; Loving father-in-law of Shahrzad Kazeroonian; Proud grandfather of Sina Mahallati; Cherished son of the late Behjat & Hesamedin Sharif Mahallati; Dear brother of Veghar Mahallati (deceased), Fakhri Honar, Fahimeh Razaghi, Lili Dejam, Behnaz Mehrinezhad, and Laya Mahallati.

Dr. Moein received his bachelor's degree in biology from Bowie State University in Maryland in 1971. In 1972 he married Zhilla Keshmiri. They decided to move back to Shiraz, Iran where he attended Shiraz University to become a medical doctor. He received his medical degree in 1979 and in 1983, he specialized in radiology.

We celebrate the contributions that Dr. Mahallati has made to so many people on his life path. As a medical doctor in Shiraz, Iran he put himself at the service of others for 10 years. He moved his family to the United States in 1993. He became a ​full professor at Life University in Marietta​,​ Georgia where he taught radiology for 17 years.

​Dr. Moein's passion was reading and learning more about the human body so he could better understand and serve the people around him. Moein is loved ​dearly by his family who were all by his side until his last breath. Moein peacefully passed away at the age of 74 at his home in Alpharetta, Georgia.

​Service for Dr. Moein Sharif Mahallati will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at 10:00 am, at the Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076, ​followed by a burial service at the Green Lawn Cemetery (same address).
