Myrta was a Renaissance person. She was proficient in French, was an avid bridge player for years, and was a voracious reader. She kept up with world events and read the NY Times daily. Her sports interests were tennis and golf, which she enjoyed over the years as a member of Woodmont CC, the Tennis Club, and Jimmy Evert Tennis Center, both in Fort Lauderdale. She and her husband Leonard lived for almost 20 years in Lyford Cay in New Providence, Bahamas, where they enjoyed the boating life and friends from all around the world.
Myrta touched the lives of so many people. She always looked out for the new person in the room, in the neighborhood, or at the club - making them feel included. She had an amazing recall of jokes and could bring immediate laughter to a table or room in a quick minute.
Myrta’s departure leaves a void in our hearts, but her legacy will forever be cherished.
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date. Arrangements were made through Roswell Funeral Home in Roswell, GA.
